What Is Paint Protection Film?

How do I care for my car once XPEL Paint Protection Film Has Been installed?
Each PPF option will have slightly different instructions that characterize their after care. However, generally you will want to wait 48 hours after the installation was done to wash your car. Should you come across stubborn stains on the film, use a solution made up of 99% isopropyl alcohol to help lift stains without harming the film. Remove insect stains as soon as possible to prevent sticking. Do NOT pressure wash the film as it can lift at the edges.
What should I do if I see light scratches or imperfections on my vehicle after film has been installed?
Generally light scratches will heal themselves when in the right temperature. Room temperature conditions will usually aid scratches in self healing within 20 to 30 min. Should you live in a colder climate pour warm water over the affected area and allow the self healing process to do its magic.
Will my original paint be harmed should I remove XPEL Paint Protection Film?
There is virtually No HARM to your original paint job once the paint protection film has been removed, as long as the film is removed CORRECTLY!
How is Paint Protection Film removed?
We advise having an experienced professional remove your paint protection film. It is usually done with the use of a steamer and simply stretched off. Having the film properly removed will ensure there is no damage to your vehicle and to the underlaying paint job.
